Finished the wool applique wall hanging! It was an experience, I'll say that and I don't think I am sold on working with wool--it is very soft and kind of hard to hold in place--I used a fusible, but that didn't hold, but I am happy with the way that it turned out, so all is well!!!
The red pinwheel top is from the Strips and Strings book by Evelyn Sloppy. I'm not sold on this one, but perhaps some child will like all the colors in it!
The last picture is a picture of the first 3 blocks in Aunt Bea's Parlor---baskets filled with flowers that will be joined with fabrics from the 1930's. The floss colors are just right!
Let quilting help you make someone smile!

I love the pinwheel quilt. I have some string swap blocks that I was thinking of using. The only thing is my blocks are on the diagonal ... do you think I could still make the quilt? I'd have to set them on point I think.
wow...love all three. You have been busy and you finsihed three things....good for you...
Wow, wow, and wow Jan! I love all three. You are one busy bee.
They are all three wonderful. I have never worked with wool and would imagine it wasn't as easy as cotton. But it turned out wonderful! And some child WILL love those colors in the pinwheel stripes :) And once again, your embroidery is beautiful.
Those quilts are beautiful Jan. Saying hello from snowy Austria. I love the embroidery blocks.
I love the pinwheel! Very nice.
