Churches for JOY Sampler

These are part of the churches row for my JOY sampler from Fons and Porter.  I decided to do a row a month.  They are rather time consuming , so it made sense to me to break it down that way.  I may have it done by Christmas that way!!!  There are 5 churches in the row.

I made some other quilts for Project Linus these last couple of weeks, too, but will show them after they are quilted.  Had a little trouble with the Handiquilter, so it went to the hospital for a couple of days.  It's coming back tonight, I hope all fixed and ready to go.  I have quite a big pile for Maynard to work on while we are in between customers right now.  It will keep him in practice!

Windy and warm here today and maybe some rain on the way.  That would be good, as long as there are no storms.

Project Linus Blankets

This bright and cheerful Log Cabin was done using a Layer Cake for the color parts called "Amelia."  Hope it will cheer up some child in the hospital.
This is a fleece blanket that is single crocheted around the edge.  I found a neat rotary cutter blade that cuts little slits around the edge of the fleece after you square it up.  Then you can easily crochet around the edges. Wish I could think up some of these good ideas!!!
I also did a navy blue fleece one, but failed to get a picture.  I crocheted around the edge of that with white yarn also.

My machine is at the shop getting it's yearly cleaning and check-up.  So I decided instead of getting out another machine, I would make up some kits and clean out fabric a bit.  I've been working for three days now and haven't even made much of a dent in the kit fabrics.  I'm cutting out the patterns as I go, so all I'll have to do is sit down and sew, so that is slowing me down, I guess.  But sure will nice to have them done!  Seeing some fabrics I haven't seen for a long, long time and finding some surprises, too!
