Another Project Linus quilt

I made this one for Project Linus.  Got some of the fabric at an estate sale.  I thought the border fabric was so pretty.  Just a simple rail fence pattern.

Got information on the International Quilt Festival in October in Houston and am getting excited about going.  So much to do for classes and events and just the show itself-----almost overchoice!!!
Did you get your information yet?

Gift Quilt

This is a quilt that was presented on behalf of  our Life Group to our teacher and his wife.

This is a picture of Donna, can't see Don, he's just out of the picture.  Don and Donna are such lovely people and I was so happy to make a quilt for them.  My hubby, Maynard quilted it.

Don has done such a wonderful job of teaching and while it's hard to see him retire, we know that it is the right time to do this.  Many good wishes go to our friends, Don and Donna!

The quilt is a Big and Bold pattern.  Wish I could remember the name of the fabric line, but I can't.  Sorry about that!

America the Beautiful Block of the Month

The July Block of the Month from McCall's 2011 yearly quilt is shown here.  A "bounty" block and a church block.  I didn't get a picture, but there is a flag, too.  This is turning into quite a project, but will be nice when finished!  The door on the church is really not crooked, but is following the slope of the seat of the chair where I placed it for picture.

Little Chickens

These are some little chickens that I made.  This was a fun and easy pattern.  I'll hang them in my "Chicken" kitchen.  The pattern is from Suzanne's Art House and is called "Mini Spring Trios 6" x 10".  The size is 9" x 12 1/2"

No camera = No pictures!

Been quilting, but left my camera at my daughters last week and waiting for it to come home!  So can't show you any pictures!  Finished one quilt as a gift for a friend, but haven't given it yet.

Also working on some Project Linus quilts----have lots of Fat Quarters in bundles of six to make into Yellow Brick Roads.
