Sweet Tea Quilt Finished!

After 11 months of work Sweet Tea quilt is finished! I machined appliqued and hand quilted this one. The binding is a diagonal stripe. I love having this one done and feel it is an accomplishment!

Also finished is my second block from Crazy Mom quilts blog in Christmas colors. These are fun to do--never know what is coming next!

Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving Day! We had a wonderful one here with our daughter and her family here from Austin. We played with trains all day and visited and had such an enjoyable time just being together. I even got another Redwork towel finished, so Anne was able to take 2 home with her! She agrees with me about using things, so I know they won't get packed away in a drawer somewhere. I'm having such a good time doing these towels that even my husband made a comment about how much fun I'm having with them!! And that's what it's all about isn't it?-----Enjoying what we are doing and having fun on the journey!

Let quilting help you make someone smile!

The tea quilt is beautiful! That border makes it look like unfurling ribbon all around it; I love that.

So now you have both coffee and tea, java and me.....*L*

Beautiful as always, and I love your Christmas blocks. I have not done anything Christmas except to keep embroidering the Winter Wonderland. Only one week away!

Thanks for the idea of using Christmas fabric for the blocks. I was using older small print fabric. Well, I have so much old Christmas fabric so guess I should make a quilt using that too. Why am I getting involved with this during the busiest month of the year!!! 'Cuz I love it.

I love how you end your posts...Let quilting help you make someone else smile. :) that's what it is about, right? I am teaching a friend of mine how to quilt and she has caught the fever!!! sleepless nights planning out the next projects, etc....it is so much fun to share that with her. she just finished her first quilt top and is so anxious to finish it. the only problem is we get into a lot of trouble when we go to the quilt shops!!! it is lots of fun. :)

This Sweet Tea is just beautiful. It must be so great to work hard on a project and see it to completion, especially when the "completion" is so gorgeous!
