"Mystery Stars" is a quilt kit that was marked one-half off because it was the last of its kind leftover from a Mystery Quilt at a quilt store almost a year ago. I'm sending it to Project Linus in Dallas, Grayson, and Collin County where is will be used for a camp for children in the area. I'm glad they have a use for these large quilts because I have plenty of them myself and I like to think of it going for a good cause like this! My pile of quilts to go to the donation center is growing and my pile to be quilted is growing again, too! Think I will work on that again some this week! It's so much more fun to make the tops!!!! Trying out new patterns or even making the same old ones such as Yellow Brick Road is always fun---I like to see how they will turn out!!!!
It has cooled down into the high 80's-low 90's today--cool enough to go outside without burning up (temps have been in 100-105 deg range lately.) But the humidity has stayed high---which is what bothers me the most---always have to complain about something, I guess!!!!
Hope you all had a nice 4th of July and remembered our troops--ones here at home and abroad! It would be good to remember them every day, I think. We enjoyed watching the wonderful fireworks on TV--some really good shows were on! Our little town even had a display that was very nice.
Let quilting help you make someone smile!
