Butterfly Placemats

Our Life Group, aka Sunday School, at church, Lakepointe Baptist delivers Meals on Wheels as one of our mission projects. Since I'm not able to help deliver, I decided to make some placemats for the people we deliver to. Here is a picture of 4 of them--I'm going to make 16 ---that will be 14 for the people and 2 extras for good measure! My good friend, Debi gave me a bag of 5" squares and a lot of them were butterflies, so that and some plain squares are what I am using for the placemats. I love the way they are turning out. I figure even the men will like them! (I hope anyway!!!) LOL!!!

We are getting more rain here and flash flood warnings are out, sometimes seems like the ground can't hold anymore water!!!! The roses sure like it though--they are just blooming along!

Let quilting help you make someone smile!

What a sweet thing to do. My father was a recipient of meals on wheels and I know I really appreciated all the volunteers did for him.
