This is called "Criss Cross." Sorry that all the wrinkle show like that, but I was in a hurry to get the picture before the dog came in and wanted to get in the picture---she is a stinker that way! This is a Fons and Porter pattern.
This top I called "Eat Your Fruit and Veggies" because that was the name of the charm pack from Pat Sloan. I like all the bright colors and hope it cheers someone up.
This last one is called "Christmas Log Cabin" and it is just a top, also. This one was a lot of fun to do and was a kit from Keepsake Quilting. The only bad part was when I ran out of fabric. I cut very carefully because I know kits can be skimpy on fabric sometimes, but I still ran out. So disappointing! But the customer service department at Keepsake Quilting was so nice and sent me what I needed with no questions asked.
It's been dark and dreary here with fog the last few days---good weather to quilt and/or sit in the big recliner and read a good book. Both of which I have been enjoying doing. Retirement is grand!

Baskets
These are two of eight baskets for a row by row I am doing called CHRISTMAS JOY. It is from Fons and Porter. I've have admired it for years and have finally decided to go for it!!! Just hope I can do it!..I want to do a row a month, if I can.
Going to try my hand at some fleece quilts. I got a rotary blade that makes slits and then you can crochet in the slits. Should be interesting to try. Anybody out there ever tried this?

One More!
This Project Linus quilt was made with the help of my friend Barb in San Antonio. She made the blocks and I sewed them together and made the top. Maynard quilted it and I bound it and now it's ready to go spread cheer to some little girl.
We are having cold weather for us here in Northern Texas. Lows overnight in upper 20s to low 30s and only warming up into the 40s during the day. The sun is shining very brightly and it looks warm out, but it's not!!!!!!
Just have the borders left to do on the Christmas Log Cabin and it will be ready to quilt! May be able to finish that up today!

Happy New Year!
Picture heavy today----lots to show. These first two pictures show a Jinny Beyer quilt that I made and the close-up shows Maynard's quilting on our new machine----a Handi Quilter Fusion 24. He did 2 kings, and a full sized and several Project Linus quilts over the holidays and they all turned out nice in my humble opinion! I love the way this quilt seems to glow in the center of each gray area of the blocks. Jinny Beyer's fabric colors are really neat!
This is a quilt from the new book from Project Linus and I called the quilt "Sail Away." The book is called "Quilt It with Love, The Project Linus Story." A great book with really cute patterns in it,
I called this one "Goes Up and Goes Down." Kinda like that certain kind of bed they advertise on TV. It reminded me of that! Kinda silly, I know! Not affiliated (you know the rest!)!
This last one I called "I Spy Rows." Debi (thanks Debi) gifted me with a stack of I Spy charms and this is what I did with them. I hope some kid has fun with them.
Had a couple of somewhat warmer days and now supposed to get a big rain storm. We are like other areas of the country, in that we really need a good rain or two or three, because the water is going down on our water supply. So I hope this plays out like the weather man is saying it will.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
