Drawing for Post 500!

EDIT: This drawing is closed. I used a random number calculator:

This program will generate a random number between two numbers
of your choice.
Enter a lower limit: 1
Enter an upper limit: 23

Random Number: 8

And the WINNER IS: ALLIE

Congratulations Allie! If you will send me you addy, I will get your jelly roll in the mail to you

Well, I'm one post early, since this is really number 499, but I couldn't wait, because I'm excited, so here goes.

This is the prize for my 500th post drawing: a Jelly Roll of Dandelion Girl from Fig Tree Quilts!

The colors are muted yellows and greens with some bright spots of muted red roses and blue flowers and yellow roses, with muted green leaves. It is very pretty, IMHO and somewhat hard to describe!

Please spread the word around about my drawing! I'm sorry I don't know how to put a link on the side with a picture to copy. But you can cut and paste and do a hyperlink, I think and get a link that way.

To enter the drawing, leave a comment on what quilting goal you have set for yourself this year: I know I want to learn to do a scalloped edge quilt. What have you wanted to do or learn to do, but have been putting off?

Be sure you have an e-mail, so I can reach you (if you don't have a way for me to reach you then you won't be in the drawing, sorry) and no anonymous comments will be added to the drawing. The drawing will close at midnight on Saturday, December 31 , 2011. I will draw on New Year's Day, January 1, 2012 sometime in the morning.

Good luck to everyone!

My hubby, Maynard and I had the terrible flu that seems to be going around, over the Christmas holiday, so didn't get to go anywhere and didn't get to go see the grandboys in Austin. But we are on the mend now and will go see them soon, after we both gain our strength back!

Hope everyone's holidays were happy ones and Happy New Year!

Let quilting help you make someone smile!

Jan

Next year I am going to be working on not taking on too many projects to be able to complete any. I want to learn to do better free motion quilting on the projects I already have in process.

Happy almost 500th blog, Jan. My quilting goal this year is to herd the vast amount of swapped blocks into tops and finished quilts. Most will be charity for kids, veterans and wounded servicemen (since most are men). I'm sorry you & Maynard were hit with the flu but glad you're both on the mend.

What a darling give-away, Jan! I'm about to do a blog post, so I'll help spread the word. Wow, 500 posts - I have no idea how many I have, I guess I should look, huh? LOL!

This year I really want to get busy creating patterns. It's something I just love to do and I have way too many ideas, so I need to get busy!

I do hope you and your hubby are feeling better soon. I missed the boat when Dandelion Girl first sailed, oh how I would love to win that jelly roll and make a quilt for my College Girl (10 more weeks and she will graduate!!!!).
For 2012 I would LOVE to make a quilt for our California King sized bed, summer weight. I 'may' be planning a wedding though - we shall see on that.

Oops, forgot my goal, lol. I'm doing a FMQ class to do more freemo on my Bernina. Hopefully this will make me do more small quilts, lol.

Thanks for the nice prize and a chance to win it! I'm hopping over from Allie's blog. :-) I have so many quilting goals this year. Where do I start? I want to continue on my journey of becoming a more confident free-motion-quilter. I also want to complete a quilt for my husband's and my bed. It's the only bed in the house without one of my quilts on it. LOL.

So sorry you have been ill. The flu has hit in our area also. I want to do MORE is my goal. I havent sewn much in the past couple of years (Cancer has kinda put a kink in my crafty plans.) Thank you for sharing your fabric goody. If I win, I will post a drawing on my blog also. Pay it forward.

Thank you for such a sweet giveaway. My goal for this year is to continue last years which is to keep shopping from my own stash and complete projects I have planned. It feels really good to pair down what I have.
Hope you and your family start feeling better fast and can enjoy celebrating the New Year.

I am sorry to hear that you were sick over the Christmas holidays. My husband and I were sick last year during the holidays, so I got my very first flu shot this year. So far, so good. Congratulations on 500 posts. I hope to get some of these UFOs finished this year. I would also love to learn to free motion quilt.

What an absolutely delightful giveaway. Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter. My goal for 2012 on the quilting scene is to get over my phobia of machine quilting!
