Four Ready for Project Linus

These four are the last of the quilt tops that I can easily quilt on my Bernina---there are 2 more for Maynard to do on the Lil Gracie Pro II, but he has been so busy with work that he hasn't felt like quilting lately. So with my pending surgery where I will be non-weight-bearing for 4-6 weeks, I am going to be doing hand work for awhile, I think. Have to get some more redwork traced off and maybe some wool applique, too. Have to be ready for whatever I feel like doing----maybe I'll just feel like napping--------who knows!!!! LOL!!

The quilts are: "Big Bricks," "Butterfly Whirl," "Scraps of Sunshine," and "Zig Zag." The Big Bricks is a free pattern online, the Butterfly Whirl is from Terry Atkinson (she calls it Butterfly Flip), Scraps of Sunshine is in the book "Scrap Basket Surprise" where it is called "Summer Breeze" and Zig Zag is a log cabin setting.

Let quilting help you make someone smile!

They are so pretty and cheerful Jan! Good idea to get some projects ready, just have them ready to pick up and start - and maybe some good books too, and soft pillows! I hate crutches - I remember, I had foot surgery when my son was 6mos old, no help and I live in a Colonial - had to go upstairs, take him out of the crib, and slide my crutches down the stairs while I went down on my bum with him in my lap. Oh what fun THAT was. I did the laundry every day too, kind of hard to carry a laundry basket down the stairs on crutches but I did it. Looking back now, I was NUTS.

Can you make up some meals ahead of time too, keep them in the freezer? Wish I lived closer, I'd come pamper you!

You know I'm partial to the Yellow Brick Road, but I really like these log cabin variations. They are so nice! I'm sure whoever receives them will love them!
