Another Quilt for Project Linus

This is quilt number 30 this year to charity. This will go to Project Linus - Dallas, Grayson, and Collin County. It is flannel and features the nursery rhyme "Hey Diddle, diddle, the cat and the fiddle." It's a nice warm quilt!

The days are getting warmer here now---some days the temp even hits 90 deg. (We're in Northern Texas.)

Went to Sit and Sew today at LQS, favorite quilt store--Quilt Mercantile. Just a small group today. I finished the embroidery of the flowers on the quilt I'm working on and now have to make the baskets. They will be appliqued on and then I plan to put some embroidery on them, also. The pattern says to use a 1/2" seam when sewing the blocks together---I really can't figure out why---seems you would want to cut this down smaller and then use a 1/4" seam, but since I didn't write the pattern, I don't know why, but will follow what they say! The pattern is Piccadilly Baskets by Brandywine Design. Will let you know how that turns out!!! LOL!!!

Let quilting help you make someone smile!

Love that quilt Jan, it's so cute! Wish our days would warm up but not to 90. 80 is about as far as I'd like to go, lol.
Sit and Sew sounds lovely!
