"Old Glory" is a kit from Keepsake Quilting and I have the top put together. It was very challenging to get the blocks put together so they all matched up. I see I still got some of the same blocks top to bottom in a line. I learned that you need to use the same machine all the way through the whole quilt. I used the Bernina for part and the Featherweight for part and the seams were enough different that I had trouble with the blue part and had to do some "constructive" seaming to get it to come out right. They both have 1/4th" feet, too! But I'm happy with it and the quilt police haven't shown up yet so I guess it's all right!!!! Going to be quilted with shooting stars edge to edge.
We are having summer-like weather now----temps in high 90's. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Thank you God for the A/C.
Let quilting help you make someone smile!

I don't remember that song! Love the quilt though. The Old Glory is gorgeous - interesting about the 1/4" on different machines, I've found the same thing on different makes of cutting mats. We're having summer too - 90's and humid - and NO A/C. Any and all sympathy is greatly appreciated. *G*
I remember the song. It started running in my head as soon as I read the words. I have never made a Yellow Brick Road but then I have never made a Turning Twenty, either. I like the colors in your Lavender Blue.
I just love the"Yellow Brick Road"...love your Old Glory!
Beautiful quilts Jan, great job. You are the YBR queen!
AS soon as I read the words.."Lavender Blue.." my head started getting stuck in that song! Are songs fun to attach to quilts? Now, I'll probably be singing that one all day ;)But you know what..that sure adds a nice touch to that little quilt. They are all darling!
Old Glory is gorgeous Jan! What a creative pattern and perfect for this time of year.
