Three Eleanor Burns Blocks

Did you ever think you just couldn't do something and it turns out you could? Well, that's the way I was about these blocks from Eleanor Burns--even though I had done the Dresden Plate before and knew that I could do it, I put it off ---as we are prone to do when we wonder if we can really do something or not!!!! Turns out if you follow her steps completely and thoroughly in her books (the one I'm using is Egg Money Quilts) the blocks will turn out! She even gives you some room to make mistakes and trim the blocks down to size!! How about that?! I am really liking the way she does her blocks!!!!! I'm a believer!!! The blocks are called (from the top down) Garden Walk, Dresden Plate, and Christian Cross. They will be part of a small sampler.

Let quilting help you make someone smile!

I have that book also, and your blocks are awesome. My mother wants me to make a dresden plate for her, now I know where to get the pattern.

What beautiful blocks and you did such a great job, Jan! I'll have to check that block out sometime soon.
