What a Nice Vacation!

We are back from a very nice vacation with our daughter and grandaughters in Columbus, Ohio. It was a busy one and yes, we got tired, but it was a lot of fun! We went to help our daughter with the girls while her husband was speaking at a youth camp in Pennsylvania for a week. Our daughter works at home, so especially needed some help so she could get her work done! So we had tea parties and indoor picnics and played lots of Barbies and Little Pet Shops. We painted little treasure boxes and read books. Whew! My daughter even fit in a trip to the quilt store for me---wasn't that thoughtful?!! And she took her dad to a discount tool store. To say that we were a little bit busy would be an understatement!!! But we wouldn't have changed anything for the world!!!! We celebrated her _____birthday while we were there, too! I won't tell on her!! I am showing you some pictures of all the fun.

Maynard got to do a few things around the house---he loved getting out the saw! That's Isabel, 7 with me painting her treasure box and Ilena, 4 with Pop-Pop painting hers. Purple and pink----2 favorite colors!

Now you'll have to excuse me---I'm going to take a nap in between loads of laundry!!! LOL!!

Let quilting help you make someone smile!

We nearly always took vacations to visit family while the children were small. I'm sure the folks were ready for long naps after we left. It looks like you two had a great time with the girls.

Great vacation!! How wonderful spending time with your family! Happy Birthday to your daughter. She is a good daughter to get you to a quilt shop and her Daddy to a discount tool shop. All the play time with your granddaughters sounded very fun!
