Here are the blocks all ready to put together into a quilt made from the quilt line called "Snow Blooms."---Nine Patches, Snowballs blocks and Setting Triangles with a square sewn diagonally across the 90 degree corner. The blocks will be set on the diagonal. Will be quite a puzzle to put together, but will be fun to do, I think. Thanks to my friend, Debi for giving me this jelly roll of fabric!!!!!
I've also been doing a lot of reading these days--decided to go back through and read the Bennie Harper series of mystery books by Earlene Fowler. Each book is the name of a quilt block and they are a fun read.
My favorite quilt store, Quilt Mercantile in Celeste, Texas has added on and is having a grand opening on Saturday--just my luck we will be out of town, but I'll be celebrating in spirit with them. They added half as much space on as they have now and I think it's really going to be nice. So glad to see them growing and getting bigger! They are such friendly, helpful owners.
Let quilting help you make someone smile!

THanks hkat for your comments--I also have the quilt book that she wrote and enjoyed it too--someday I'd like to make a quilt from the patterns in there!!
The open house at the Quilt Mercantile was a smashing success. I was there among hundreds of others. They had several teachers doing demos; a lovely refreshment table, some great bargains.
Cathi--thanks for the report on Quilt Mercantile Open House--I'm so happy for them that it was a success!
